On-Off: Don't forget the roll
26/06/12 || Curt
This is kind of a weird one to have to review on Global Dominiation. According to the band’s website Italy’s On-Off are “Ribcrasher Rock N Roll and AC/DC Tribute”. On paper this sounds like a fucking horrible train wreck just waiting to happen-My hopes were not high for this album at all. But, when the horrendously titled opening track “Another Bone to Suck” came on, something strange happened… I liked it. At first I thought it might be a complete fluke and that a horrible band somehow managed to get a decent song on their album, but nope, the whole album was a guilty pleasure. Although AC/DC tribute sounds like a cover band, in fact it sounds like the band is using it to describe their sound which is a fairly apt reproduction at times of Bon Scott era AC/DC. Like AC/DC? Give this a shot. While no where close to the originals in terms of awesomeness, this is a fairly decent album that hard rock fans would do well to give a chance.
7/10: Surprisingly not as bad as it sounds.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
